I thought I'd start a thread here to post various ramblings & photos :)

This is my Kombucha brew & the SCOBYS, & my Kefir.
I have a second Kombuca brew going so I can send a SCOBY to a couple of friends :) View attachment 1880

Symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeasts. Kefir grains and the kombucha 'mushroom' are examples.

    I wasn't sure if that was a question or not ... yes I know there's a question mark there ... but there is also a smiley face ... & I'm a bit Sheldon Cooper & I'm easily confused :)

There are supposed to be more storms on the way so keep your fingers crossed.
And hang out washing. And leave a bag of cement in the yard ... :)

Just had an absolute cracker of a thunderstorm. Right overhead :) The whole noise & light show :) It was awesome. You could hear the soundtrack somewhere in the background ... "We watch the lightning crack over canefields / Laugh and think, this is Australia." :)
It's knocked a heap of jacaranda blossoms to the ground & now the dry dirt has been transformed into a glistening mirror image of the purple haze above. Yum :)
Scored another 17 ml ... not a huge amount, but right now I'm humbly grateful for everything I get :)
It's good to be alive :)

Just milked Lou. It's amazing how fast I can go from whinging about how dry it is to whinging about having to slop through the mud to milk :)
    Just call me Hanrahan :)

You mentioned work - he's sitting on the verandah watching the lightning crack over the cane fields! Still waiting for my turn - but there's rain predicted for the next few days.

Oh no dentists are a tough contract , I had my last "wisdom tooth" pulled and a scale job done recently , I barely survived , im mentally scarred by a savage dentist when I was a child . Hope your visit went well .

I am two & a half grand lighter, about to be relieved of another $1600.00 next week, & that's not the end of it!
Bloody hell - as they say - at least Ned had a gun!

You never did answer me about the spinning wheel photo ... is that you on the Ashford wheel? :)
