Here is a link to some construction photos of my natural swimming pool to date. The drought has slowed progress considerably however recent rain has provided almost enough water to continue with the biofilter construction. Jeff. [email protected]
Something fishy here. When I click on the link I go straight to the photos. The photos are in yahoo groups in swimming ponds. I dont know why you cant access them? I made some attempts a while ago to put them on this forum with no luck........ Jeff.
Jeff, when I click on the link I go to a yahoo login page. I don't have a yahoo account so I can't login. Can you try logging out from your yahoo acount and then seeing if you can access your photos? I don't know with yahoo if they let any old person in to look at things  or if you always have to have an account. If it's yahoo groups then yes I think only people with an account can access it. There are other free photo hosting sites that don't require guests to login. Try Fotki.
Hi Pebble, now I think I know why no-one responded to the post with the link. I got to yahoo via "dave keenans home page" This is a site regarding the building of low energy chemical free swimming pools. Dave stated that as his home page was of limited size, he created a space on yahoo for people to discuss these pools and to post photos etc, It would be much quicker for you to join yahoo to view the photos than for me to move them. You can join for free and unsubscribe when you want. I dont get any contact from yahoo. Jeff.
I need a homepage. closer inspection of yahoo groups "dave keenans swimming ponds" reveals "members only" for photos. !@#$%^& !!!! Jeff.
This is one of the reasons I don't like yahoo very much. I don't like the idea that people have to register with an email address to view free content, and then have yahoo tracking my every move. It'd be like having to register here before being able to read any threads. I think that Fotki, and other free photo hosts let you set if you want your photos to be accessible to anyone or by password only. You could check out google - I think they have homepage spaces and photo hosting. The problem with google is that they archive alot of things (eg their free email service, gmail, archives every email even the ones you think you have deleted). Google of course track every move I make too but they're doing that anyway because I use their search engine.
It's a real shame not to be able to post photo's here.I would love to check out photo's of everyones gardens. Is the facility to do so in the pipeline as I dont know anything about setting up a yahoo photo thingy! Scott
The problem with posting photos directly on the forum is that anyone on dial up will have difficulty loading the page. It's not that hard to use a free photo hosting website, Scott (just not yahoo by the sounds of things).
We have a photo album here onsite for users I thought? There was a sticky thread on it somewhere which told you how to use it, upload your photos etc. The album is here (Click To View)...maybe Murray can clarify the current status of the photo gallery a bit more? Start a thread on it perhaps to catch his attention?
