    YOUR COMPLETE HOLISTIC LIFESTYLE

    • Chosen as one of 13 of the best examples of responsible tourism in the world by channel 5 Quebec
    • Chosen as one of National Geographic’ s 8 favorite places to Stay in Ecuador and one of 80 in South America.

This is what National Geographic said about the farm…

“A buzzing hive of students, volunteers, and travelers there mostly to learn about agro ecology. Located in a transition zone, where the dry forest meets the wet forest, the inn sits amid a lush tangle of trees and plants. A packed three-day program runs the gamut, from milking cows and making cheese to a horseback ride to look in on a community of howler monkeys. You also learn how to make cups and spoons from gourds. The farm's tilt toward teaching is wide-reaching.“

The farm is a model social enterprise for Ecuador and the world as an integrated example of organic methods, alternative technology and energy, cultural integration, agro ecotourism and environmental education.

We are well established in educational tourism and organic farming/ permaculture courses.

    About the farm

The farm is 26.5 acres (9.5 ha). It is a mixture of food forests crops, pasture, tropical forage crops for cows and horses, chicken forage system, worm culture beds, pig raising area and a large vegetable production area. We already grow a lot of turmeric and plan to specialize in some other super food crops like sacha inchi and moringa (all of which grow very well here). The land is flat and hilly and it is bordered by a river which runs all year. Creative cabins and rooms provide accommodation for up to 38 people. There is also a classroom, outdoor recreation areas and walking trails. The main income from the farm is not from agriculture alone, it is from a combination of tourism, value added food, crafts, produce, education and other agricultural products.

    About the Park

As a response to the demand, during the past 2 years the farm has been developed as a park. It is almost completed and is now operating as a park. The idea is to continue with all that we presently offer, but capture a large Ecuadorian market who have a lower budget, and are looking for a lower key experience. The farm is big enough to absorb many people at the same time without feeling crowded.

What has been developed for the Park?

      • We created 2 self-guided walks, a sustainability trail and a lookout walk. A children’s playground with very cute kid’s playhouse has been built, and we plan to add a couple more climbing frames etc.
      • We prepared another camping area and volleyball court. Hammocks have been dotted around for folk to rest and contemplate! There are large shady areas under huge Samango trees and a river for splashing - perfect for family outings.

    To be finished:

      • An info/ interpretation center focused on sustainable agriculture and other sustainability subjects. Eg bamboo construction, agroexercise etc.
      • An interactive learning center for infants- teens.
      • Promotional material is being prepared to be ready for the launch in the coming months.

    Who are the owners?

A New Zealand/Ecuadorian couple own and have developed the farm as their lifetime passion. They need to sell the farm for family reasons.

What does the sale include and what is the sale price?
A comprehensive list of what is included is available, including a complete client list.
