Welcome Kendra, best of luck with your search. Have you posted on the PRI Global site? https://permacultureglobal.org/
Howdy, Kendra! Best advice I can give you, which is worth exactly what you pay for it: Take small steps towards your goals. You will get there eventually. We've found that self sufficiency is extremely difficult to do. That said, we break it down into smaller pieces. We managed to be self sufficient in potatoes, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, green beans and garlic and marigolds (lol) this year. We do not have the space or labor to be self sufficient in everything. We also found that just doing things on our own place seems to draw in like-minded folks from around here. Word of mouth gets around, and people want to see what we are doing. Best of luck building your community.
hello and welcome. all i can say is that it may take some time to find the right people and places, but you can always work with what you have even if it means doing things by working at recycling places, community gardens and/or other projects which can help the wider community (habitat for humanity, food banks, senior centers, etc).
