The Permaculture Student 2 is the first permaculture textbook designed for high schoolers everywhere. It is a full year of curriculum with projects, activities, and formulas, all included in one textbook. It is the most up-to-date, holistic, and understandable permaculture textbook. Designed for 9th & 10th graders, it is a complete and comprehensive exploration of permaculture written in clear, easy to understand language. It may be written for high schoolers, but this book can be read & enjoyed by any adult or engaged youth.
For permaculture to become a household word, it needs to find its way into households everywhere. The fastest way to change homes, governments, hearts, & minds is to change what we are teaching in schools. This will have an immediate and dramatic impact as children and teens all over the world start bringing home money-saving, regenerative, ethical & practical solutions to their everyday problems and concerns. They will have confidence in themselves and the future as they actively partner with nature in positive ways to provide for themselves and their community. We can all be the change our communities need towards self-reliance, interdependence, trust, and abundance.
I’m working with some of the most respected and cutting-edge scientists, permaculturists, educators, researchers, designers, & project managers from all over the world to get a consensus on my work so that it will be a launchpad for all the branches of permaculture we have evolving currently. People like Elaine Ingham, Peter McCoy, Neal Spackman, Erica & Ernie Wisner, Geoff Lawton, Rowe Morrow, & more!
For those of you that backed the first volume, this extends and deepens understanding and skills with additional sections on Urban Permaculture, Fungi, Large Landscape Repair, & Alternative Energy. We are bringing back Wayne Fleming the amazing artist from the first book to illustrate. In addition, there will be full color photos and graphic organizers.
