Upcoming Permaculture Courses at the PRI Zaytuna Farm, July 2013 Update

At PRI Zaytuna Farm we run three 10-Week Internship programs per year. In the past five years this Internship Program has included five subject specific courses – a Permaculture Earthworks Course, Permaculture Project Establishment Course, Learn how to Teach Permaculture Creatively Course, Urban Permaculture Design Course and a Sustainable Soils Management Course – which have been open to the public. As of 2014 these short courses will no longer be offered to the public and will only be accessible through the 10-week Internship Program. We will continue to offer Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) Courses and are considering offering other short courses and workshops outside of the 10-Week Internship Program at another date. The final dates and links for these courses are listed below. Places are limited. Please book a place in advance to secure a spot.

The Permaculture Research Insitute

PRI Zaytuna Farm functions as a model farm (in development) and permaculture training facility. Geoff and Nadia Lawton, world-renowned permaculture educators and consultants, lead the project. Much of Geoff and Nadia’s time over the last few years has been spent away from the Institute, consulting and helping set up projects in diverse locales around the world. Seeing the worldwide demand for knowledgeable permaculture consultants and teachers increase exponentially, as fuel and fertiliser prices skyrocket and the effects of climate change, soil depletion and water shortages begin to hit hard, priority and focus is now shifting back to the Institute, where growing the training program will increase the output of quality teachers to help fill the growing need for them.
