Wow that is a serious amount of work. How far do you make sure to plant trees from the power feed line? Was that drip line connected to the main house water supply line? Very odd. Aqua phonics setup looks as though it will be great.
Ive been fighting with this cant sign in , reset your password circus for months now I had almost given up everytime I go to a PRI page doesn't matter if its the home page or forum it flashes at me so somethings broken
Ive been locked out since mid july , plenty happened since then A few pics of the place after a fair bit of cleanup Eastern side is Mrs Terras patch , Flowers , Bird attracting natives , and a bit of zone 1 Lime , lemon , macadamias at the moment some melons and capsicums egg plants ect Georgia the sort of kangaroo dog keeps an eye on this area at night West side is the main food garden area , lots to do here Fully Kangaroo fenced circle big enough to run a chook dome mandala inside A few citrus and stone fruit trees 15 x 6 metre hoop house for the Aquaponic system Full length pergola on west side of house Two partly buried 5000gallon water tanks to dig out and shift Clothes line And heaps of trench digging to complete the water pipes Nth side I am digging out the aleppo pines and palms Yes they shade the house in the pic but that's our cold time they do nothing when the suns higher and they lean scary angles towards the house Still planning this area South side will have to wait a bit mostly vehicle access and mallee scrub
A bit of Wildlife Lots of birds here The little wasp is interesting I spotted him and watches for ages they dig a hole kill insects (flys ect) stuff them down the hole lay eggs and cover over . Started a veg patch Also have a well built shadehouse
Glad you made it back Terra, looks like lots is getting done. Love that shade house, that is a project that is on my "To do" list.
Hmmm, I wonder if many others who haven't been seen lately are having the same issues? What did you finally have to do to log in??
The log in thing was very frustrating I was on the verge of starting a new identity I was going to find another computer as my log in was saved on this one Thinking maybe part of the saved password maybe broken I deleted all the favorites shortcuts and reset the password again and it worked However something is not right every time EVERY time I change pages 5 seconds later the page Flashes (or jumps might be a better description) So short answer why it worked I don't know
Thanks Terra, Just yesterday saw your message on FB ... glad you got your login resolved. Which browser do you use? I'm wondering whether the large logo/photo slider at the top of the page isn't causing the jump due to the time it takes to load.
I still have the dreadful "Reset your password" banner plastered across the page in RED is this normal can I get rid of it.???
it's still there for me too. i suspect it's just a general message for everyone... looks like massive amount of work has been accomplished already at the new place. and, yes, the shade house looks great!
Hooray I can sign in again LOTS of sand been shovelled in the last 12mths About 800 projects on the go here Going for a fully fenced Mandala with a chook dome , as we have a semi wild dog pack , kangaroos , wabbits ect ect planted citrus and fruit trees . Built my Aquaponics again I now have 4 systems running I will find some more pics of before and after still lots happening here .
Scratched back through my thread quite a few photo links are broken might see if I can fix it or edit it , most photos broken are from my old place . Edit I can fix my photos will take awhile
Good to see you back Terra, looks like you have been the busy bee. We have had three weeks of rain straight, so much to do but no weather cooperation. We have had a donkey decide to adopt us so now one more animal to build a house for. Your place is looking great and I'm happy to see you back.
I finally got back to my Veg patch fence (too many jobs on the go at once) I wanted the posts to settle in the soft sand before I started pulling on wire so they didn't pull over. Dug a deep trench all the way around and buried chain mesh attached to the bottom of fence to prevent foxes and dogs digging under . I put the fence wire on level as running it around on an angle looks daggy and its hard to get tight . So I had to bring in a half metre of fill on the low side Ended up a huge job but I'm very pleased with the finished result I will be able to divert run off and tank overflows into this area and it wont just run off Pic 4 shows the area when I moved here I moved the centre of the circle many times in the first season as I observed the sun track My chook dome will travel around inside this fence over 6 beds the high fence adds much more security A electric fence tape around the fence just down from the top will provide a surprise for any cats / foxes trying to climb the fence Next job is Gate and get the dome finished I should have had the birds out here a couple of months ago I recon they can go back into their present accommodation during the worst of the hot months Inside the fence is 5 dwarf fruit trees with room between them for circle beds Frog pond and a few bee attracting plants in the middle
Another little project When we get heavy rain lots goes to waste down the vehicle tracks and out the front So I created this basin in a clear area Will plant some Eucalypts and Melaleucas with a good spread of flowering times
