IPCUK International Permaculture Conference and Convergence 2015

The UK Permaculture Association will be hosting the 12th International Permaculture Conference and Convergence (IPCUK) in the heart of London this September. The theme this year is Designing the world we want and I’m going to be there as a keynote speaker. Geoff Lawton is a world renowned Permaculture consultant, designer and teacher. He first took his Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) Course in 1983 with Bill Mollison the founder of Permaculture. Geoff has undertaken thousands of jobs teaching, consulting, designing, administering and implementing, in 6 continents and close to 50 countries around the world. Clients have included private individuals, groups, communities, governments, aid organizations, non-government organisations and multinational companies under the not-for-profit organisation. In 1996 Geoff was accredited with the Permaculture Community Services Award by the Permaculture movement for services in Australia and around the world.   1. Hi Geoff, I am one of your 2014 graduates, I have access to a potential community garden, the same land I used for my design submission for the PDC. At the moment the land needs developing & has a great potential. Progress so far is slow as my weak point is understanding funding processes & everybody in the city is under pressure to to use their time just working to pay the bills. I am looking to transition myself towards permaculture/sustainability as a means of income & hope the community garden could play a part in that. I’m Thinking pulling together a permablitz could make an interesting feature for GeoffLawton.com? Transforming a derelict piece of land into a garden for the community also shifting your time & income towards permaculture is probably a question on a lot of peoples minds.
